Just entered the industry, been to a couple of conferences, seen 3 hotels and suddenly here I was on a flight to France to visit a place I had never been and everything was FREE. It was the most fun trip I had ever been on, met heaps of really cool people all in the same Events business and we drank, ate and partied till the cows literally left home. Ask me what hotels I went to, what restaurants were what and what facilities were where and you will get a moronic answer such as “what?”

Winter Blues
I have always wondered if anyone measures the difference in productivity between winter and summer months. Is the warmth of a summer day more inspiring than the nippy chill of a winters morning. I know there are the issues of slow start in the winter but once you are up and running there seems to be a crispness in the thinking and less friviless options to allow for deviation of focus. The summer allows for the early start but there are so many other lures to the morning as one feels the urge to go to gym, cycle, run, swim or leap from low swinging branches. Not everyone fits into this category of morning bravado, but I am sure most at least think about it even if not doing it.
